The 55th Manhattan Beach Open marks the longest running, continuous tournament in the sport of beach volleyball. The AVP returns
to the mecca of beach volleyball as the most talented men and women in the sport battle it out to have their names enshrined on the Manhattan Beach Pier.
The Manhattan Beach open is the grandaddy of beach volleyball tournaments and the most prestigious tournament there is. It has gone through a number of changes over the years with the AVP reigning supreme for many years, faltering a few years ago, and now back as an AVP event. The courts are located just south of the Manhattan Beach pier and is a great event to see from the sand, Strand, or parking lots above. With an abundance of bars and restaurants to visit during or after it’s a can’t miss weekend in this wonderful city and just another great summer event in Manhattan Beach CA.
