We don’t have many details on the buyer or their intentions but this is definitely the home sale of the month in Manhattan Beach. What it really likely a land sale, the beachfront duplex at 516 and 518 The Strand closed in August for $14,500,000. This one is all about the location as the south Manhattan Beach sand section location is about as good as you get.

The newest offering in a fairly crowded beachfront market is 1516 The Strand, Manhattan Beach priced at $18,900,000. The home was built in 2005* and offers 4 bedrooms and 4 baths and almost 5,000 square feet on three levels. It’s very close to the pier which has both upside and downside but the views it offers of the pier, beach and ocean are dazzling.

A recent home sale saw a buyer get a great deal on a very unique home. 3004 The Strand was a “historic” home with a very unuusal layout, design and configuration that closed escrow in June 2020 at a price significantly below the list price. It was listed at $9,495,000 and closed at $7,000,000. It may not be a coincidence that it’s one of the few beachfront home sales in the past year. It hadn’t been on the market (especially in relation to most current beachfront homes on the market) long but sold at a significantly lower price.

This recent addition to the already crowded beachfront home market on The Strand offers a fairly ideal location close enought to downtown and the pier but not too close. Welcome to 1920 The Strand in Manhattan Beach offering almost 5,500 sq feet of beachfront luxury on a north facing corner walkstreet lot. The home is priced at $16,900,000 and features unblockable ocean views with 5 bedrooms and 6 1/2 baths.

New to the market as of May 16th is a duplex in the furthest northern section of Manhattan at 4216 The Strand. Located in El Porto of the sand section, the $7,000,000 price tag is going to have definite appeal as it’s less than half of what most of the other beachfront properties are currently listed at. The main home offers 3 bedrooms and 5 baths with a combined square footage of over 3,800 square feet.
A separate 2 bed/1 bath unit above the garage includes a gas fireplace, laundry, and deck with bigocean views. This 2nd property is ideal for out of town family or guests to have their own space or the perfect rental to offset costs.
