The homes of the Manhattan Strand consist mostly of single family homes and the occasional duplex. Beachfront condos are pretty rare but the last two properties on the Strand have both been condos. This latest property is a 3 bedroom beachfront townhome in the El Porto area of the Manhattan Beach sand section.
4314 The Strand is one of the last homes on the northern end of the Strand and all of Manhattan Beach. The home is in very nice condition and seems to be priced well for the size, location and fact that it’s a townhome. The biggest challenge is the location as it’s fairly close to the industrial areas just north and the home fronts the beach/surf parking lot so there’s a bit more activity out front than many would prefer.
It doesn’t get much better than oceanfront in the Manhattan Beach sand section. The newest beachfront listing in Manhattan Beach is a fairly rare townhome/condo located on The Strand at Marine Street. This home enjoys two levels of unblockable views. The top level features the incredible living spaces with ocean view living room, kitchen and outdoor deck…..all with spectacular views of the beach, ocean and coastline up to Malibu. The top floor also offers the primary suite that it more like a luxury hotel. The bottom level offers two additional bedrooms with private beachfront patio/deck.

We’ve had a few closed sales in Manhattan Village lately but it’s been a while since there was a new listing. The latest listing in the gated community of Manhattan Village is a single level plan 5 townhome located at 10 Dover Place. The last two plan 5 sales were 28 Sausalito that sold at $1,550,000 on 12/3/21 and 32 Dover Place that sold at $1,399,000 on 3/22/21.
10 dover is fairly original and could use some updates but it’s a very popular layout as it’s a rare single level layout.
This better than new coastal craftsman is as beautiful on the inside as the outside and dramatically different than the standard Redondo townhome. From the moment you see 2209 Nelson in Redondo Beach you’ll realize that this is unlike anything on the market. Entering the home, you’ll be struck by the bright and open floorplan and attention to details. From the nine foot high ceilings, 6″ oak flooring to the El Dorado stone fireplace to the wainscoting and custom colors this home is designer perfect. The lower level features a bright and open floorplan for today’s lifestyle and perfectly blends beach casual with modern luxury. Ideal for entertaining the home features an open kitchen with granite counters, stainless appliances, Merillat maple cabinetry, center island and breakfast bar. The kitchen opens to both the dining area and the spacious living room. Direct access to the private backyard and patio is ideal for indoor outdoor living.

One of the real housing inventory shortages over the past few years has been in Manhattan Village. While there have been some townhomes for sale there have been almost no single family homes available. The last MLS sale for a single family home in Manhattan Village was in January of 2016 and the only sale in all of 2015 happened in April of that year. Manhattan Village is one of the only gated communities in the area and offers “court” homes (multiple townhome style units with nobody above or below), townhome units and single family estate homes. While there have been a healthy inventory of the townhomes, the single family homes are few and far between.
